In 2001, Aucourant Records re-launched the label imprint Zero Gravity and added a new imprint Zero Gravity Dance to expand the label footprint and create a catalog of genre-themed releases that emphasizes current artists and trends working in various cutting-edge electronic music genres — ranging from the most abstract atmospheric ambient to hook-laden electronic dance music.
As part of this project the label published eight compact discs of music curated from submissions to an international call for artists. The result was three ambient recordings, three electronic recordings and two electroacoustic recordings all releases in 2021. These recordings can be found here at the website.
In 2023 we are undertaking a similar set of releases, and an OPEN CALL for artist submissions is now inviting interested artists to put their finest work forward for our curation of this next set of recordings. The submission deadline is March 1, 2023. The resulting recordings will be published later in 2023.
